Project Description

Matthew Trevino is an award-winning elementary music educator in San Antonio, Texas. In 2015, Matthew founded Sonido, an elementary percussion ensemble dedicated to inspiring young musicians through engaging and meaningful performances. Matthew is a frequent clinician at the TMEA Convention and has presented workshops for music educators across the country. Through he and Sonido’s online presence, Trevino also inspires music teachers around the world by showcasing the incredible musical achievements of elementary students. By sharing performances, rehearsals, and teaching ideas, he hopes to encourage educators to dream big and discover what’s possible in their own classrooms.
