Daniel Rivera
Daniel Rivera is a passionate musician and dedicated educator from Miami, FL. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from the University of Florida through New World School of the Arts, as well as a Master’s degree in Music Education from the same institution. With a deep understanding of both musical artistry and pedagogy, Daniel has been inspiring young minds through the power of music for four years as an Elementary General Music Teacher at Hialeah Gardens Elementary. His commitment to inclusive education is evident through his previous experience working at the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind, where he gained valuable expertise in teaching students with disabilities. Daniel has also collaborated with various non-profit organizations in the area, including the Miami Music Project, dedicating four years of his time.
Daniel’s dedication to professional growth is demonstrated by his completion of two levels of Orff Schulwerk pedagogy and World Music Drumming, which have expanded his repertoire of teaching techniques and deepened his understanding of children’s enrichment. Looking ahead, his goal is to create Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) based musically integrated lessons for students of all ages, with a particular focus on elementary classrooms. By combining the power of music with the development of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, Daniel aims to foster a holistic approach to education.
