Michelle McCauley
Michelle McCauley (Washoe/Shoshone/Paiute/Quinault) is a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe in Nevada. Michelle attended elementary school on her reservation where she learned her tribal songs and dances from tribal members. Michelle started playing clarinet at age of 10 and quickly excelled auditioning into the top chairs throughout middle and high school. Michelle attended the University of Nevada, Reno receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies in 2004 and a Master’s Degree in Music Education 2014. Michelle has been shaking up music education ever since.
