Hannah Knauss
Hannah Knauss is a conductor, presenter, and music educator in the Greater Philadelphia area. She received a B.M. in Music Education from West Chester University and an M.Ed in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Cabrini University. She currently teaches piano, theory, and choral ensembles and also directs the theater program at Interboro High School. While there, she has expanded and elevated the performance experiences for her ensembles and doubled student involvement in the choral and theater programs. In 2017, Hannah was selected as the recipient of the PMEA Outstanding Young Music Educator Award.
Additionally, Hannah directed The Coventry Singers and sang with the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia. She currently serves as the PMEA District 12 Treasurer and on the Advisory Board for Music Service Learning. Hannah has also presented at state conferences and has led workshops and webinars focused on choral education. In the classroom and in her presentations, she demonstrates her passion for not only improving musicianship, but also creating student leaders and building relationships within the ensemble and community.
