Laura Long
After serving as orchestra director for two years at the middle school level in the Delaware County area, Laura is now the Assistant Coordinator in the Human Resource Management Department at Temple University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance and Music Education from Temple University and is currently working toward a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management. Participating in the public school system only intensified Laura’s curiosity about the way people engage with their work and how organizations can best serve and support their employees. Laura still plays viola regularly on her church’s worship team and in the New Jersey Capital Philharmonic Orchestra (Trenton, NF), and freelances regularly in the greater Philadelphia area. Laura lives in the Roxborough/Manayunk area with her husband Janson and dog Upa and enjoys volunteering at a local long-term care facility with Upa, who is a registered therapy pet.
