About the Author

Originally from Maryland, Anola Douglas is currently in her 19th year of music education. She is in her 6th year as the choir director at Metz Middle School in Manassas, VA. Anola received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Elon University, where she studied piano. She also has a Master’s in Education Administration from Liberty University. At Metz, Anola teaches the 7th and 8th grade advanced treble, intermediate treble, beginning treble, advanced tenor/bass, and beginning tenor/bass choirs. During her first two years at Metz, she also taught 7th- and 8th-grade Music Technology. Her choirs consistently receive Superior ratings at District Choral Assessment and competitions.
