This resource is so intentionally designed to bridge the gap between increasing diverse representation and student learning within the K-12 instructional setting. What I appreciated most about this is the level of care that has been given to make each musical selection an example of translanguaging – an essential component of language development. This makes the play more accessible to audiences, particularly in parts of the United States such as Texas. It is also really fun to see and hear the different musical genres as they connect to different countries. I hope that the educators behind this continue this project, particularly for the upcoming Native American and Asian American Heritage months.
