Description

The Vietnamese Children’s Songbook is a collection of nine songs and Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Festival activities for children aged 3-10 years. It can be used by practitioners, parents, and children in the classroom, music studio setting or in the home. This illustrated songbook includes cultural background information, supplemental Vietnamese language guidance, and music recordings of each song. The songs and activities are sure to inspire teachers, parents, and children to begin a musical journey together.

About the Author

Tina A. Huỳnh is currently Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music education. Her research interests lie in Vietnamese American music making, Vietnamese refugees, and culturally responsive teaching.
