We Are Nashville was written to inspire a sense of belonging, love, and unity in the communities of Nashville, TN. The lyrics, along with the accompanying illustrations, serve as a visual tour guide for one interested in learning more about America’s Music City. Originally composed as a musical work commissioned for a local music festival (We Are Nashville Festival), this lyrical message has been performed by many ensembles and organizations in Middle TN, including the Nashville Symphony. Its unifying message served as an anthem and an anchor for many after the 2020 Middle TN tornados, followed by social distancing during the worldwide pandemic.

The words are descriptive, with literary imagery representing many of the iconic landmarks seen throughout the city. Enjoy viewing and learning about Nashville’s Music Row, downtown on Broadway, the Pedestrian Bridge, Belmont University, and more!
