Julianna Nguyen
Julianna graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Choral Education from Sonoma State University. Originally from Vietnam, she moved to the United States in 2015. Having sung since the age of three, Julianna began pursuing music professionally at the age of 18, starting her studies in vocal performance and composition at American River College in Sacramento. In 2022, she transferred to Sonoma State University.
One of Julianna’s key missions in music education is to incorporate Vietnamese music into Western compositions. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a chorus manager and led multiple after-school choir programs and music classes in Sonoma County. Currently, Julianna is earning her Single Subject Teaching Credential at Sonoma State while student teaching at Maria Carrillo High School in Sonoma County. She has also chosen to further her education by beginning a Master of Arts in Music Education program at San Jose State University in June 2024.
